The tiny village of Broke is 5.7km from our property.   It has a rich history. Following 13,000 years of Aboriginal heritage, there was extensive settlement in the 1800’s as the region became a popular stock route.

Today there is a mix of vineyards and agricultural holdings in the area.   Boutique accommodation and cellar door wine and oil tasting are available in the region.

This peaceful part of the Hunter Valley has quite different climatic and topographical features from nearby Pokolbin.   There is less rainfall and it is hotter and drier which gives the wines and olive oils from the region a distinctive character.
